Xiong Xiangyang

TV Director at CCTV

"When I was a child, my mother asked me what I wanted to become when I grew up. My answer was that I wanted to do something which would influence at least a million people. I have lived up to this idea. As a TV director working for the CCTV, my shows reach an average audience of 35-40 million viewers. I don’t like talking about dreams, as dreams are too far removed from reality. If I had a dream it would probably be something impossible - like traveling to the outer reaches of the universe, or becoming someone I could never be - like Bill Gates or Nelson Mendela. Instead of dreams I have ideas about my life that I want to accomplish in the future. And I am quite confident that I will manage to do it. These ideas include writing a book, directing a movie about a girl and a white horse, and becoming a football commentator. At one point I also want to adopt one or two children and offer them better lives."
